- Consultation: The first step is an initial consultation with Dr. Joosse. During this visit, we will assess your goals for treatment and your oral health.
- Digital Impressions/Scans: At your consultation, we will take digital impressions, or scans of your teeth, using advanced imaging technology. This creates a highly detailed 3D model of the teeth, allowing for precise planning.
- Customized Treatment Planning: Using our LightPlan software system, Dr. Joosse will create, adjust and approve treatment plans quickly and easily. This includes determining the optimal alignment of teeth and the specific tooth movements required.
- Bracket Design & Placement: The brackets are then designed based on the digital model of your teeth and are 3D printed. Dr. Joosse will bond the brackets to the enamel using dental adhesive. An archwire is threaded through the brackets, connecting them. The wire exerts gentle pressure on the teeth, guiding them into the desired positions.
- Adjustments: Periodic appointments are scheduled for adjustments and to track your progress. The overall length of the treatment depends on the severity of each patient and how well you take care of your new appliances.
