Here is one of my (Dr. J’s) favorite new smiles in 2025! Because Caroline was an amazing patient, her treatment went very quickly; finishing in just under one year. This was done with braces!
Dr. Joosse loves this case for so many reasons. We made a huge difference in her overbite but also in her aesthetics. Better yet, using Invisalign plus our JFO on the Go technology, this was completed in 8 visits total. If this was done with braces, it would have taken at least 16 visits. That ends up saving a bunch of time!
Dr. Joosse is amazed at how many people come in seeking a nicer smile only to discover that they have impacted teeth. For Ella, we rescued her impacted upper canine teeth using Isoglide eruption springs and the aesthetic difference it makes for her is incredible!
We have achieved great deep bite correction with Invisalign, but braces can be more predictable when it comes to extreme “deep bites.” Here, we used custom, 3D printed, Lightforce braces to create a healthier bite and a nice smile for Stephen.
This is an amazing smile transformation for a young lady who’s missing two front teeth! I (Dr. J) love when form and function go together! In other words, when it is both a healthier bite and a nicer smile! This was done with braces in just under two years.
I love treatments where we start with one of the upper front teeth “behind” the lower teeth. We call that an “anterior crossbite.” Anterior crossbites are important to fix so that the jaws can operate properly when chewing, but the fun part is making that smile complete since it makes it look like the person is missing a front tooth.
This is a wonderful smile transformation! The key was that we had to “rescue” his upper right canine tooth since it wouldn’t come out on it’s own.
When someone’s primary concern is flared teeth, one of the best solutions is to remove premolars and close spaces. Here is a great example of that type of treatment.
When front teeth don’t touch, we call that an “open bite.” Open bites make it difficult to bite through foods with your front teeth. This Invisalign treatment took 18 months and resulted in a much healthier bite as well as a much nicer smile!
Sometimes we treat patients with relatively straight teeth. In these cases, the main goals are creating a healthier bite relationship, which, in-turn, helps protect the teeth from wear over a lifetime. But what is really cool is the relationship between form and function. When we improve the function of the bite, the smile also improves. This was done with braces in about 13 months.
Madeline’s transformation is becoming bread and butter Invisalign as we’ve done a bunch of these. The secret sauce here is that we ask these underbite patients to have their lower wisdom teeth extracted so that we can move the rest of the teeth backwards in the mouth one by one until we get to the lower front teeth to actually correct the underbite.
Noah’s transformation is just a bread and butter Invisalign® case, but it’s amazing the changes that occurred in 16 months!
Closing spaces between upper teeth is my favorite treatment and I especially love it when I have an awesome patient like Alyssa. I love how you can see her smiling more confidently after treatment.

This is an amazing smile transformation completed with a D2 (pre-braces bite corrector) and braces. Clare’s treatment took 3 months with the D2 and 18 months in braces and the results are stunning!
One of the biggest treats as an orthodontist is to treat a child and then to give the gift of a nicer smile to their parent. I love this result for this amazing mom. We achieved this in 11 months with Invisalign clear aligners.
Most of the time, when Dr Joosse proposes a treatment plan that involves taking out a lower front tooth, the immediate reaction is “absolutely not!” But, it is the right treatment for some situations and, when treatment is complete, you’d have a hard time telling that a tooth is missing! This treatment was accomplished with Invisalign clear aligners in 17 months.
 It is rare for treatment with braces to take only 12 months, but when you have a great partner in treatment, anything is possible. Cole was a fantastic patient and he now has a fantastic smile to match!

Closing spaces between front teeth is Dr Joosse’s favorite treatment. Closing space usually involves making sure the bite still fits together properly, so it isn’t always as easy as it seems. But, when you have great partners in treatment, like Kirby, then you get great results. This result was achieved using Invisalign clear aligners.
Armando was an ideal Invisalign patient. He wore his aligners diligently and did everything we asked him to do. So, it is only fitting that he got amazing results from his treatment!
Zane would have been a very challenging orthodontic case anyway, but then he had to have a lower tooth taken out as a result of trauma. Nevertheless, we got a great result and really enjoyed getting to know this awesome kid along the way!
What a smile transformation! What is even better is watching this girl go from so anxious that she wouldn’t even let us take an X-ray to being a confident patient!

Javon is one of my all-time favorite patients. Sometimes, when we encounter lots of crowding, we need to extract teeth to make space to unravel the crowding. Javon had four teeth extracted (2 on top, 2 on bottom) and the results are amazing!
This is an incredible smile transformation in so many ways and I’m so proud of Jacob for being a great patient. If you or someone you know is the parent of a teenage boy, you can understand that this transformation really wasn’t a big deal or seemingly important to Jacob (at least he didn’t want to admit it!). But, I know that we’ve given Jacob an incredible new smile (and healthier bite) that will benefit him for a lifetime.
Lexi’s smile transformation was a difficult one to achieve because there are many complexities to her case, but I’m very proud of both the esthetic and functional outcome that we were able to achieve. Congrats Lexi for all of your hard work in treatment!
Smile transformations like Lloyd’s are some of my favorites because it is a transformation both esthetically and functionally! Before treatment, Lloyd could not even come close to biting into things with his front teeth. After, he can bite through food normally. It is a revolutionary change for him AND it looks good too! As you might expect, this is a severe “open bite” and is difficult to fix without a good partner in treatment. Lloyd was an amazing Invisalign patient and I credit his dedication to his treatment with our treatment success!

If Joosse Family Orthodontics had a Hall of Fame of Best Patients, Amanda would be in that Hall of Fame. These are truly some of the most remarkable results I’ve ever seen and the magnitude of bite change in an adult is almost unbelievable…..until you get to know Amanda. She wore her aligners as prescribes (at least 22 hours/day) and her rubber bands as prescribed (at least 22 hours/day) and the changes are incredible!
This is Fletcher and he was treated at age 9-10 with a palate expander and braces. Early treatment is indicated when there are problems that will affect the growth of the jaws and problems that will affect the ability of permanent teeth to erupt. His treatment took just over 1 year and the results are excellent!
Grace is an amazing patient with amazing results! We treated Grace with Invisalign clear aligners and her treatment took 12 months with only 4 in office visits thanks to JFO on the Go. Grace was away at college and studying abroad for the year, which goes to show that JFO on the Go saves time, improves treatment efficiency, but also allows us to treat patients remotely, even when they are on other continents!

Have you ever wondered why orthodontics is most commonly performed on teenagers? One reason is that orthodontists can harness bodily growth to give better outcomes. Another is because we are able to transform smiles to create more self-confident teens. In this case, I (Dr. Joosse) used a “pre-braces” appliance called a D2 to help correct bite discrepancies and this pre-braces phase is much more effective when combined with bodily growth. Congrats, Aiden on a beautiful new smile!
Sophia’s treatment is a masterpiece! We used Facemask (reverse pull headgear) and palate expander to treat an undersized upper jaw, while using braces to help resolve crowding. The results are amazing!
Sawyer is a great kid and we loved getting to know him throughout treatment. With or without a great smile, Sawyer is destined for greatness, but we think he looks better with the great smile!
We are so excited for Ethan and his great results. Sure, we rescued an impacted tooth and had some awesome bite changes, but the change to Ethan’s smile is the best part of this transformation!
This is a truly remarkable transformation! Bryant came to us with a request that we fix his smile by the time he was getting married. Maggie’s transformation speaks for itself and it couldn’t happen to a nicer girl! She doesn’t smile big, but we hope that we’ve given her the confidence to smile a bit bigger than before. In addition to closing space, the upper teeth were angled. We call that a “cant” and fixing cants can lead to dramatic changes as it “levels” the smile with the rest of the face.
It is obvious that the alignment of Marcel’s teeth improved dramatically, but less obvious to the casual observer is how there is less overlap of the upper and lower front teeth. This is an important functional correction as it helps to protect the teeth from being worn down prematurely. But, our favorite change is in Marcel’s smile. He doesn’t smile really big, but he certainly smiles with more confidence now!
This is one of my favorite smile transformations of the year! We accomplished this using a palatal expander followed by braces and four teeth were extracted during this treatment. The total treatment time was 19 months. I LOVE her new smile but I also loved watching this girl grow in confidence throughout our treatment!

This is an amazing smile transformation for an amazing human being! Shaunay’s new smile is the result of about a year and a half of braces, but also some mild tooth reshaping by Dr Joosse. We often reshape teeth to make teeth fit together better or look better. While the idea of tooth reshaping is scary to some people, it is quick, easy, painless, and completely safe to do if done judiciously. Dr Joosse has reshaped teeth on himself, his wife, and most of the JFO team.

If you’ve followed the JFO YouTube channel, you’d know that closing spaces in front teeth is my favorite thing as an orthodontist because it makes such a difference in the confidence one has to smile. Katelyn didn’t really need help smiling (cause she’s that great of a person), but, man, her finished smile looks so good. When I met Jack, he told me that he never smiled. He hated his teeth and didn’t want people to see them. His teeth were very crowded but I knew I could help Jack. I told him that if he was willing to put in some work, we could do this without taking out any permanent teeth. He did his part. I did mine. The results are amazing. Brooke is the youngest sibling from a wonderful family with three daughters. Her sisters were treated previously and both were awesome patients. (They are all also exceptional cyclists and mountain bikers!) The expectations were high for Brooke and she did not disappoint! She was probably the best patient of them all, had the biggest smile transformation of them all, and has a picture perfect smile now! Brooke we are very proud of your efforts and we LOVE your smile!
Lucy finished her Invisalign treatment in TEN months and with only FOUR in office visits. More importantly, we are loving her new smile. How did it happen so quickly? First, she’s an awesome patient and wore her aligners as prescribed, but she is also one of the first JFO patients to complete treatment with JFO on the Go, our remote monitoring system which gives us the opportunity to deliver better results with fewer in-office visits. Before JFO on the Go, Lucy’s treatment would have likely required 8 visits and taken 14 months. Completing treatment in ten months with only four visits is cool, but not as cool as it is to see her beautiful smile. Great job, Lucy; you are truly a rockstar!
*side note: in our never ending pursuit to make the patient experience better, you’ll notice that we aren’t using intraoral photography. These are 3D scans of the teeth; the scan is a more pleasant experience than collecting intraoral photos.*
If you don’t know, closing spaces between front teeth is my (Dr Joosse’s) favorite! However, this Invisalign® smile transformation was about more than just anterior space closure. Noah’s smile transformation is incredible and the amount of confidence he has in his smile has multiplied. Seeing Noah and his confident smile is why being an orthodontist is an amazing profession. What you can’t see here is that Noah is missing an adult molar tooth and part of our orthodontic plan was to partially close that space so that he can, in the future, get a premolar sized implant to fill the space completely.
