Am I a Candidate for Invisalign®?
Joosse Family Orthodontics is pleased to offer complimentary consultations to examine your teeth and bite and determine if Invisalign® clear aligners are right for you. The consultation will include an examination of your bite, x-rays and digital images. Dr. Joosse is a distinguished Platinum Provider of Invisalign® and has experience and expertise in successfully treating malocclusion with clear aligners; however, not all patients are candidates for Invisalign® treatment.
You will know at your consultation if you are a candidate for Invisalign®. After the consultation, we can schedule an appointment to begin your Invisalign® journey.
How Does Invisalign® Work?
Once it is determined that you are a candidate for Invisalign®, you can expect the following of Invisalign® treatment at JFO:
- 3D scan. Treatment starts with a 3D scan of your teeth.
- Plan treatment. From the 3D scan, Dr. Joosse will plan and sequence all tooth movements necessary to give you a beautiful smile and healthy bite.
- Print the aligners. Invisalign® will custom print aligners to accomplish the movements Dr. Joosse programmed.
- Deliver the aligners. We will deliver your first set of aligners designed to accomplish all of the major goals of treatment. You will wear each set of aligners for approximately 22 hours per day for about a week before switching to a new set. This wear pattern will continue through steps 5 and 6.
- Refinement. A second set of aligners is usually needed to accomplish the finer details of treatments.
- Check the details. Dr. Joosse will check and double-check everything to make sure you have a beautiful smile and a healthy bite.
- Make it pop. Dr. Joosse may recommend tooth reshaping or other finishing touches, as needed.
